Hitman added two records to his name in a single day
Rohit Sharma scored the fastest fifty of his Test career at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. Rohit completed his fifty from 35 balls against West Indies.
Rohit, who scored 57 runs from 44 balls, was finally caught by Gabriel Ansari Joseph. Hitman reached 57 with five fours and three sixes.
Meanwhile, the hitman rewrote yet another record in Test cricket. Rohit Sharma holds the record of playing the most consecutive Test matches without getting a single-digit score.
Similarly, Mahela Jayawardene’s record of 29 matches has become a legend. Len Hutton is third in this list with 25 consecutive double figures.

Hitman led from the front with the fastest half-century of his career for India to take a good lead in the match. India were batting at 118/2 in 15 overs when play was suspended in the afternoon due to rain.
India, who had a first innings lead of 183 runs, now has a total lead of 301 runs. India lost the wickets of Rohit Sharma (57) and Yashaswi Jaiswal (38) on the fourth day.
