The leadership of the Rogvardiya immediately responded to the innovation of one of the generals, the commander of one of the divisions, who forbade the soldiers to “tune” their weapons. His order has been cancelled, said Alexander Khinshtein, head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
“Unfortunately, this is not fake. The order to return all weapons to normal condition turned out to be genuine; it was issued by the commander of one of the divisions. This was confirmed during an inspection organized at the direction of the leadership of the services,” the deputy wrote in his telegram channel.
He noted that by decision of the higher command it had already been canceled as unfounded. The department’s leadership will evaluate the actions of the proactive divisional commander separately.
“Despite the fact that this division, due to its specifics, is not involved in the tasks of the SVO, one should only support the initiative of military personnel “tuning” their weapons, i.e., increasing their effectiveness. I’m sure such stupidity is rare. And the immediate reaction to it from the leadership of the Russian Guard is confirmation of this,” Khinshtein pointed out.
