Roguelike mode Freelancer for Hitman III is delayed until later this year

“The Next Evolution of Hitman.”

Evolution has to wait. Io reveals that roguelike mode Freelancer to Hitman III delayed to “later this year”. It should have been released in the spring, but Io seems to need more time. Freelancer mode sends out the 47th on (as I said) roguelike missions. An evolution they claim, but one that comes later.

We see Hitman 3: Freelancer as the next evolution of Hitman and an entirely new way to engage with the world and characters that we’ve built into the World of Assassination over the last seven years. […] In short, this mode is quite expansive and involving. It’s built for players that want to dive deeper into what a Hitman game can be and for that reason, we’ve decided to give it more time.

One “luxury decision”, says Io. Then Hitman III become such a success, the team can take the time they need to file extra on the details. They want the release condition to be the best possible.

However, more than Freelancer is underway, as you can see in the picture below. Hitman III still alive.

Year two for Hitman III, you are not kidding.
