Roger Palm, an outstanding Swedish musician, has died at the age of 75. Member of the ABBA band | Kurier Nakielski

Roger Palm, drummer and member of the legendary Swedish band ABBA, has died in his hometown of Kyrktåsjö at the age of 75 due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.
He began his career in the 60s and 70s, playing in many popular Swedish bands. It was during this period that he came into contact with Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderssone. Their collaboration resulted in an extremely successful combination that had a huge impact on world music.

Palm was one of the key musicians of ABBA, participating in the recording of many of their biggest hits, such as “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me”. His distinctive drum sound became an inseparable element of ABBA’s music. In addition to his work with ABBA, Roger Palm also recorded with other famous artists, such as Ted Gärdestad. His skills and experience made him one of the most sought-after drummers in Sweden.
