“Roger Federer’s Wimbledon Visit and Plans to Support Ukrainian Aid”

Roger Federer will visit the All England Club during Wimbledon this year. Eight-time Wimbledon champion Federer is an absolute legend and Championships icon. Federer, who retired from professional tennis at the end of September at the Laver Cup, has not made any tournament appearances since his retirement.

During this year’s Wimbledon, organizers plan to celebrate Federer’s astonishing career. “Roger will be visiting here as a member. He is welcome at any time,” AELTC chairman Ian Hewitt said, according to James Gray.

Federer will travel to Wimbledon, which plans to support Ukraine

On March 31, Wimbledon announced that players from Russia and Belarus would be allowed to return to the tournament this year.

However, the general belief was that Wimbledon was under so much pressure that they had no choice but to end their Russian and Belarusian ban. The Wimbledon organizers still have a lot of affection for the Ukrainian people and they will donate to Ukrainian aid.

“We are happy to share that in partnership with the LTA, we will be donating to Ukrainian Aid one pound for each ticket holder at the Championships this year, which will result in a contribution of more than half a million pounds.

We will again be working with Merton and Wandsworth Councils, and the British Red Cross, to invite 1,000 Ukrainian refugees to join us for a day at Wimbledon, including tickets, food and drink, and transport.

For Ukrainian players, the All England Club and the LTA will fund two-bedroom accommodation costs for all main draw and qualifying players for the entire grass-court season. These players will also have the opportunity to train on the courts of the All England Club or via the LTA on the courts of Surbiton between their last match at Roland Garros and the Saturday before qualifying week at Wimbledon,” said Hewitt.
