A watch worn by Roger Federer costs a fortune, according to GQ. He has the price of a house on his wrist!
The tennis legend was in New York for the US Open and it was a Rolex he was wearing that caused a stir.
This is a very rare model: Rolex Daytona Le Mans in gold, ref. 126528LN-0001.
According to GQ, there are only 100 examples of this watch. It was sold for 50,900 euros (around CAD 76,000).
However, given the rarity of this model, prices have exploded on resale sites.
GQ indicates that its price currently varies between 230,000 euros and 350,000 euros (between approximately CAD$345,000 and CAD$525,000).

“Celebrating 100 years of speed. Rolex presents a variation of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona created in honor of the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance car race,” reads the message accompanying the images.
GQ specifies that Roger Federer wears the gold version of this model and that it is not available for sale.
Its value is estimated at between 350,000 and 400,000 euros (between approximately CAD$525,000 and CAD$600,000).
