Interviewed by his friend Jim Courier for around twenty minutes on the Laver Cup court, Roger Federer answered several questions concerning in particular his new life outside the circuit and his approach to life. And when asked if he would continue to be involved in the world of tennis, this was his answer.
“I made a promise to myself after my retirement, that of not being a stranger on the circuit by remaining close to tennis. I don’t plan to travel all the time, but having been to Halle, Wimbledon and now here makes me very happy. I have many friends around the world who I miss, and of course I miss tennis and competition, especially the heated moments of big matches, the atmosphere in the biggest stadiums in the world. Without a doubt, I would do everything I did again if I could. »
