Now it seems as if he has kept his word. The 42-year-old revealed this in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. His two nine-year-old sons Leo and Lenny spent some time at the academy in the summer.

His 14-year-old daughters also attended a tennis academy – but not with Nadal. Instead, Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were in training at the McEnroe Academy in East Hampton.
Federer wanted to teach tennis to children himself
“All four kids love it,” said the 42-year-old. “The girls didn’t like it that much at first. But the better they get, the more fun they have and are now playing for points.” However, the maestro remained silent about the progress of his twin sons.

He initially tried to introduce the children to his sport. But that was a strange experience, said the Swiss: “It’s of course an interesting dynamic because I’m her father and not just a former player.”
