Roger Federer protagonist of a Swiss comic!

In the last few hours Globi, the famous blue parrot, created as a comic by Swiss Robert Lips in 1932 and later converted into an illustrated book, has published its 92nd edition, entitled Globi and Roger: The other protagonist of the story will be Roger Federer be.

In his last adventure, the bird plays tennis with Federer, follows him to Wimbledon and together they visit a school in Africa. Curious to see Federer illustrated in his classic sleek suit, including a headscarf.

His wife Mirka and their two pairs of twins, born in 2009 and 2014, are also briefly represented in the book. Roger was actively involved in the creation of the new edition, offered his collaboration for the design phase and wrote the foreword.

The volume, which is now available in German, French and English, also includes a CD audio book. Many were eagerly awaiting the return of Roger Federer from the 2021 edition of the Australian Open, especially after the pictures of the Swiss championship training in the Middle East.

But then – also due to the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic – King Roger announced that he should skip the usual appointment at the beginning of the year and postpone his return to the spring months.

Federer took part in the Qatar ExxonMobil ATP 250 in Doha, where he returned to show his timeless talent first against Daniel Evans and then with Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, even if he was defeated in the second match.

Roger, who has not toured since his appointment to Qatar (he did not participate in Dubai), was due to return to compete in Geneva and then at Roland Garros in Paris, where he played in the semifinals in 2019. Federer has to defend the sensational final that was played at Wimbledon two years ago.

He lost with two match points in favor of his serve against the Serb Novak Djokovic, who won the championship for the ninth time in Melbourne last February. The Mallorcan Rafael Nadal lost in the quarter-finals in Madrid with the German Alexander Zverev after winning the twelfth cup of the Godò tournament in Barcelona.
