Roger Federer gets off Toronto and Cincinnati

The Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, one of the great absences in the Tokyo Olympics, will not be in the Masters 1000 de Toronto (Canada) and Cincinnati (United States) due to discomfort in his right knee, reported the ATP.

Federer, who will turn 40 this Sunday, played his last match at Wimbledon, in which he said goodbye to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarterfinals.

The Swiss had already accused discomfort in the right knee operated to defect from the Games.

Federer underwent two right knee surgeries in 2020 and spent more than a full year between games.
