Federer, a former 20-time Grand Slam champion, left Nike in 2018 to sign a ten-year contract with Uniqlo.
When Federer signed his 10-year contract with Uniqlo, it was clear he would be well retired before the contract expired. Four years later, Federer is a former player but still fulfilling his duties as a Uniqlo ambassador.

Federer, who has been one of the most popular tennis players throughout his career, is now in Tokyo where Japanese tennis fans will have the chance to see and meet the Swiss tennis legend.
Federer enjoyed a beautiful farewell in London
Shortly after the US Open ended, Federer announced his plans to retire after the Laver Cup. In late September, Federer retired from professional tennis by participating in the Laver Cup in London.
In his last match, Federer played alongside his old rival Rafael Nadal. While Federer and Nadal competed together on the pitch, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray supported them from the Team Europe bench.
A few days ago, Djokovic praised Federer’s size and influence while the Serbian stressed that the Swiss legacy will live on forever. “His footprint, his legacy, the mark he left will live on forever.
Even now that he has retired, his legacy will live on for many decades and generations to come. Not only has he achieved so much on the court, but he has also inspired so many young players to pick up a racket.
They have so many top players talking about it now, Roger was their idol. It’s great, that speaks to his greatness,” Djokovic said. Now that Federer has retired, it will be interesting to see what he does next.
There have been reports in recent weeks that Federer could join the BBC’s Wimbledon commentary team in 2023.
