Roger Federer and Robert De Niro in Behind the Scenes of Swiss Tourism Advertising

Roger Federer and Robert De Niro, in a setting together, is something people wouldn’t think of. However, the duo were in one frame during the advertisement for Switzerland Tourism. The Swiss maestro and the famous director were seen together in the MySwitzerland commercial “No Drama”.

On his Instagram feed, Federer uploaded the first Swiss Tourism film video.

Robert De Niro is an award-winning American filmmaker, actor and producer. The duo shook hands in May for the project and delivered a dramatic publicity for the tourism company.

In the end, De Niro jokingly told Federer to contact Tom Hanks for the project.

Switzerland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, resulting in a bludgeoning tourist market. The country is famous for its mountains, resorts, chocolate and people in general.

In an advertisement from Switzerland Tourism, Roger Federer invited Robert De Niro to make a film with him. The Hollywood icon, however, rejected the idea.

Robert De Niro, seated in his New York apartment, demanded a form of drama from his country. He doesn’t like the fact that the country is perfect.

Therefore, Roger agrees with the director. He is desperate for some sort of drama, as a result of which he rejects all of Federer’s ideas.

Swiss legend invites him to go skydiving, ski and watch the cows graze in the fields. The director doesn’t find these ideas enticing and rejects the plan. De Niro advises Roger to call another Hollywood superstar, Tom Hanks, for the job.

Roger Federer will compete at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, starting Monday. The Swiss will be aiming for his ninth Wimbledon title and his 21st overall Grand Slam title.

The former world number one hopes to have a good race on grass after a series of disappointing performances. He recently lost to 21-year-old Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime at the Halle Open.

This is probably the last chance for the Swiss legend to win a Grand Slam title, given that age has not been on his side. The string of injuries over the past two years has kept him out of shape. However, it’s time to get back in shape for the former world No.1.
