Roger Federer He is enjoying life, activities that he could not do when he was an active player on the professional tennis circuit, such as skiing, a discipline that he practiced at a very young age and to which he has returned after hanging up his racket in 2022 when he said goodbye at the Laver Cup.
The Basel native has recently skied with another sports legend like the American skier Lindsey Vonn, a great follower of tennis and admirer of the Swiss. Vonn, who retired in 2019, fulfilled one of her great dreams, sharing her passion with what she considers to be the greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer, to whom she dedicated great words and with whom she shared a video in the skiing social networks.

Vonn on Roger Federer: a champion in every sense of the word
“Normally, people you admire always disappoint you in one way or another, but not Roger.
Rog is the epitome of a true sportsman and a champion in every sense of the word. We talked about skiing together for so long that I wasn’t sure it was going to happen… But here we are: retired, skiing and enjoying life!
Thank you for this memory, Rog,” Vonn confessed. “You and your family are truly unique and no matter what the statistics (or Leo lol) say, you are the GOAT forever, because it takes more than numbers to have the kind of impact that you have, I’m just one of millions.
Cheers, my friend,” added the North American. Vonn won three Olympic medals, one of them gold, eight World Championship medals and 19 World Cup titles, a golden career that ended in 2019.
