Roger Binny president of the BCCI | Sport | Deshabhimani

Roger Binny will be the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He was a member of the team that won the One Day Cricket World Cup in 1983. Binny gave the nomination even though Sourav Ganguly won’t compete again. Ganguly can become the president of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Jaish, son of Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, will continue as secretary. Rajeev Shukla (Vice President), Ashish Sheler (Treasurer) and Devjit Saikya (Joint Secretary) presented the documents. The election will be held at the BCCI’s annual meeting on the 18th. Everyone risks being elected without opposition. Arun Dhuman could become president of the IPL.
Binny, sixty-seven, is the president of the Karnataka Cricket Association. From 1979 to 1987 he was part of the senior national team.
He took 47 wickets in 27 tests. He 77 wickets in 72 ODI. In the 1983 World Cup, he won 18 wickets in eight games and played an important role in winning the title.
