Rodrigo Santillán will compete in the Paraswimming World Series

The member of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) will begin the 2024 season with this event.

Rodrigo Santillán, winner of three bronze medals at the last Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, will compete in the Citi Para Swimming World Paraswimming Series, which will take place until February 4 in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The member of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) will begin the 2024 season with this event.

Their participation will take place in three events: this Thursday in the 100 meter freestyle, on Friday in the 50 and 100 meter backstroke, on Saturday in the 200 meter freestyle and on Sunday in the 50 meter freestyle.

Santillán is very close to officially qualifying for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. “I have yet to participate in a reclassification and secure my place. I already have the marks, I just have to go to another tournament, which could be in England or Italy between February and March, and I would be classified,” he noted.

The Citi Para Swimming World Series Great Britain 2024 will host more than 140 para-athletes from 20 countries.
