Nestor injury and interest from Botafogo
Rodrigo Nestor suffered a ligament injury to the left knee in a São Paulo training session, at CT da Barra Funda, in early November. The player had to undergo surgery and the initial expectation is that he will return to the pitch in March 2024.
In the first transfer window of 2022, Botafogo signaled to pay up to 5 million euros (R$26.6 million at the time) for 80% of economic rights by Rodrigo Nestor, but the deal did not move forward with the São Paulo board.
