Rodrigo De Paul and Leandro Paredes became the first people interviewed by Susana Giménez in her return to television, after almost five years away from the small screen. In a pleasant chat with the diva, the athletes talked about their relationship on and off the field, which is very close, as with the rest of the team, which allowed them to obtain the third World Cup for the country.
During the interview, Susana Giménez expressed her interest in knowing if it was true that both of them had a ritual together before each match and how it worked. “The truth is that I go to all the matches, I follow all the World Cups… But that candy cabal didn’t exist. How did that start?the blonde asked them.
“It started, I think, after the Copa (América) 2019. We also started it with Paulo Dybala, and well, then he couldn’t be there for the 2022 World Cup. We’re still following it to this day,” Leandro Paredes began explaining, with a smile from ear to ear.

“So, you go to the middle of the field and eat them there?” the host asked them, totally intrigued. “Yes, we go to the center of the field. First we go to the locker room, depending on whether it is hot or cold, we change our shirts and so on, and then we go to the dressing room.” We eat the candy alone, walking around the stadium”explained the owner of the number 5 shirt.
Rodrigo De Paul also added that the entire team, because of this practice, already gets them candy before each game, so they don’t have to bring it from home. “Each one chooses the candy they eat, we walk to the middle of the field. We always enter with the same foot. There we talk about something in particular, whether it’s about the field, the people or how the weather is. “I’ll eat 14!”the “little engine” of the national team proudly acknowledged. With her unmistakable humor, Susana responded in surprise: “But doesn’t it hurt you? My God.”.
