Rodrigo Chaves’ Twitter account shares false information attributed to Columbia News

The social network Twitter account of the Social Democratic Progress Party candidate, Rodrigo Chaves, shared false information attributed to Columbia News.

In the alleged note, which maliciously uses the Columbia logo, as well as the name of a journalist from the outlet, it is stated that María Luisa Ávila, Rodrigo Marín and other figures from the Citizen Action Party (PAC) would form part of an eventual government of the National Liberation Party (PLN).

The image was retweeted by the Chaves account, before the posting of a user identified as “Cata VHicken”.

To avoid falling into false information, Noticias Columbia recommends verifying those posts that are found with its logo on the company’s official networks, as well as on the columbia.co.cr site.

In addition, reviewing the language and words that are used when writing the alleged information can help you rule out false information in a short time.
