It was more than a year ago when the international press reported on the murder and dismemberment of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta in Thailand. Daniel Sancho, son of Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho, claimed to have been the perpetrator of the crime. Now, nearly 13 months later, there are only a few days left until the verdict of the trial against the chef is made public, in which he is accused of having killed Arrieta, as well as having hidden the body and having destroyed evidence. In the last few hours, his father is preparing to fly to the Asian country to learn the sentence there. While waiting to hear the verdict, the actor has been asked by the press about his condition.
The Sancho family will be informed of the verdict on August 29. This Saturday, early in the morning, the actor from Mar de Plástico met with his lawyers, Carmen Balfagón and Marcos García Montes, near the family home in Madrid. The flight to the Asian country is expected to depart in the next few hours, where he will learn the fate of his eldest son.

If there is one thing that has characterized the actor during all this time, it has been his silence, since he has preferred to stay away when speaking to the press. After meeting with reporters, he appeared serious, but he did show himself greeting his entire team very affectionately, showing that he remains optimistic, despite the difficult time his family is going through at the moment.
After this first contact, the actor headed to the airport. There he was seen walking with a calm demeanor, despite being surrounded by cameras. Rodolfo showed there that he preferred not to answer questions from the press, however, when asked if he wants all this to end, he said “yes” in a concise manner. For his part, the lawyer Marcos García Montes made it clear that there is a desire to face the judge’s decision and thanked the press for their words of encouragement in these tense moments.
It was last August 7 when the chef completed one year in prison in Koh Samui. Since he was remanded in custody, the case has become one of the most relevant topics in the news and has made many headlines. On August 29, it will be known whether the judge believes there was premeditation when learning of the crime. In that case, the young man could be sentenced to life imprisonment or even the death penalty, which is why there is great expectation surrounding the case.
