Installed on the occasion of the “Science Festival” dedicated this year to “climate change”, it will be open to the public on Wednesdays, and reserved for school groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
These three days around the sciences that are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the town hall of Rodez. Where the Sciences en Aveyron team has set up its science village. This year, the scientific actors of Aveyron were invited to imagine interventions on the national theme of this 31st edition of the science festival, namely “Climate change, mitigation and adaptation”.
About twenty stands will be set up in the municipal hall. Fermat Sciences, Mathematics on stage, Rouergue CPIE, Fisheries Federation, Calmont Castle, Montrozier Archaeological Space, Friends of Science and the Earth, Andromède 4A, Aveyron Departmental Archive, Canopé 12, Capétoiles, Education League, Rutech Fab lab of the MJC, Les granges d’Eyniès, the museum of traditional arts and crafts in Salles-la-Source, the museum of customs and traditions of Espalion and Science in the Aveyron are all participating structures. With school groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the public on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:30 to 17:30.
Theater, guided tours …
To this village of science we must add some activities in the suburbs, throughout the department. As for Rodez, two highlights are expected. A play entitled “Astronomical conversation with my banana tree”, by the company Théâtre en liberté, the Friday 14 October at 2:30 pm (by reservation) in the town hall; the Wednesday 12 Octoberat 10:30 and 14:30, guided tours will be organized from the departmental archives, around the exhibition “Journey into the Aveyron, the cadastre in time and the space of discovery”.
