As part of the year-round project entitled “From the field to the plate”, the schoolchildren of Sainte-Procule went to an orchard of the “Local Varieties 12” association. Since the start of the school year, the pupils have been studying autumn fruits and more particularly apples. In order to make their project a reality, volunteers from the association welcomed them to their orchard and they introduced them to different varieties of this fruit. The children then went to collect apples which they passed through a crusher and then through a press to obtain a delicious juice. The
children came back enchanted by their educational outing.
