Yesterday, in Onet-le-Château, the campus of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Aveyron opened its doors, by appointment, Nearly 140 future apprentices were able to discover the 25 trades on offer.
In a particular context, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts opened its doors, in the Cantaranne area in Onet-le-Château, by appointment, to future apprentices. Twenty-five jobs offered, for 42 apprenticeship training courses, “and many companies looking for young apprentices”, underlines Jean-Michel Orlhac, director of the Aveyron trades and crafts campus. “Because, contrary to popular belief and despite the difficult context for some companies, there are many companies wishing to hire apprentices. And we are here to connect young people and companies”, recalls the director.
While the lack of perspective in certain sectors such as the hotel and catering industry can slow down hiring, others are, on the other hand, job providers. “The construction industry, catering trades, among others, offer certain prospects. All the more so as the exceptional aids, decreed to support apprenticeship, are extended until the end of the year. Clearly, a company can hope to receive aid of € 5,000 for a work-study student under 18 and € 8,000 for a work-study student over 18 “, adds Jean-Michel Orlhac.
At the same time, the Aveyron Trades and Crafts Campus will offer two new training courses: a BTS in motor vehicle maintenance and a carpenter-installer training.
The opening of the boarding school, with 50 places per week, also opens up new possibilities for students. “We have also renovated the cafeteria, the training restaurant and the foyer”, welcomes Jean-Michel Orlhac. Each year, nearly 900 apprentices follow the courses offered by the Aveyron trades and crafts campus.
For future apprentices, visits to the campus can be done by appointment on 05 65 77 56 18 or by email [email protected]
