FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA- Political observer Rocky Gerung predicts that Jokowi and Prabowo will soon cross paths or be at odds because of their two programs.
Rocky Gerung said that President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo would have different opinions or fight because of the IKN program and free lunches.
These two national priority programs require a very large budget, namely IDR 450 trillion.
Rocky Gerung said that Jokowi’s fight with Prabowo would stem from the continuation of the IKN project and the emergence of the free lunch program from President-elect Prabowo.
These two national programs absorb very large amounts of the budget from the APBN.
According to Rocky Gerung, President Jokowi will continue to try to encourage the IKN program to continue running.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Gerindra, as Prabowo’s party, wants the free lunch program to be realized.
“This means there is a fight between Jokowi and Prabowo, and of course it will happen. Why? Because the APBN is the limit of political ambition,” said Rocky Gerung in Kupang, NTT, Saturday (30/3/2024) quoted from Pojoksatu.
According to Gerung, currently, revenues in the APBN have reached IDR 1,800 trillion, but expenditure has reached IDR 2,800 trillion.
“To make an IKN you need Rp. 450 trillion, for free lunches Rp. 450 trillion, to pay debts of Rp. 400 trillion, to pay interest on debts of Rp. 500 trillion. The total is 1,800 trillion, while 20 percent of that total must be used for education,” he said.
