Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has appeared in a number of memorable films. For example, we can point out, for example, the great Assassins or the cult film Tango and Cash. However, his two most famous film series, Rocky and Rambo, will be inextricably linked to him. You are now returning in special extended versions!
Famous boxing drama and film saga about a war veteran. Today, Rocky and Rambo are already among the cinematographic legends that Stallone followed up with more or less successful sequels. And some of them are now returning in a special director’s excerpt.
In the case of Ramba, the new films had a rather declining tendency. They weren’t exactly bad, but compared to the first film, no sequel can stand it. Even so, these are great action blockbusters, the last of which, with the subtitle The Last Blood, has received its extended version.
It is currently available on Apple TV + and Amazon Prime Video. It is necessary to add that the extended version is about 10 minutes longer than the original, and the Czech viewers are not completely affected by the novelty.
In our region, the extended version went straight to the cinemas. However, other European countries, and especially America, had to make do with a shortened version. So it’s hot news for them.
The situation is different in the case of Rocky’s fourth episode. He was the most commercially successful of the series and made the most money. He too will get his directorial haircut, and unlike Rambo, Stallone himself is working on it himself, who announced it on his Instagram.
It is not yet known when the extended version of Rocky IV will be available, nor is it certain how many new minutes or shots we will see. For comparison, however, we remind you that, for example, the fourth part of Ramba underwent 103 changes in the director’s version, almost half of which were new shots that did not appear in the cinema version of the film.
