Rockwell Automation Signs Partnership Agreement with Taurob to Provide End-to-End Robot Automation Solutions

BRUSSELS, Oct. 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK), the world’s largest industrial automation and digital transformation company, today announced the signing of an agreement with Taurob (Dietsmann Group) to… to offer a holistic robot solution that enables industrial companies to switch to autonomous processes in their systems. Taurob develops and manufactures floor robots for inspection, maintenance and data collection to optimize and increase efficiency in a variety of industrial facilities.

Kalypso, das digital service companies Rockwell, and Taurob will jointly offer customers an end-to-end robotic automation solution, ushering in the next phase of industrial automation and transformation. The partnership strengthens Rockwell’s position as a leader in robotic automation and digital twins, and Taurob’s position as a leader in ground robots in industrial inspection.

“As we move towards autonomous operations, many industrial companies are considering plant design, connectivity, digital solutions and artificial intelligence. Manual inspection of assets is still common practice,” said Matt Graves, Kalypso Digital Principal, Process Industries. “In the next phase of industrial automation, companies are now evaluating how to manage fleets of inspection robots using digital twins and the Industrial Internet of Things ( IIoT) technologies. Our partnership is a big step in helping our customers achieve their efficiency, net zero and safety goals.”

Taurob’s robots can collect video, audio and sensor data, detect gas leaks and manipulate valves in harsh environmental conditions, while maintaining the industry’s strictest safety standards and supporting their customers’ net zero initiatives.

Autonomous workflows have long been an aspiration in industrial process areas such as oil and gas, mining and chemicals due to hazardous work environments. Taurob’s robots are ATEX certified, a strict and mandatory certification that allows them to work particularly in the oil and gas industry. They also offer high resistance in hot environments and an operating time of up to four hours.

Kalypso and Taurob offer a holistic solution from physical robot and sensors to robot monitoring software for mission data analysis using AI/ML and system integration. This enables companies to transition to autonomous operations with high operational benefits as they can now work with an inspection and maintenance solution that increases personnel safety, reduces operating costs and improves production throughput.

“Our partnership with Rockwell will significantly accelerate the scaling of our unique ATEX-certified robots around the world,” said Matthias Biegl, co-founder and managing director of Taurob. “Our expertise complements each other well, allowing us to offer an integrated solution “We will be able to streamline our sales and marketing efforts to optimize and increase efficiencies for our customers across a variety of industrial locations.”
