Apart from not being able to transfer digital money or items from PS3 and Xbox 360, GTA Online players will also not be able to transfer character data to other console gaming platforms.
When the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA V are released, players can transfer all of their GTA Online data to the new console. However, Rockstar discontinued the feature in 2017.
The publisher says it will continue to roll out updates and support for the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of GTA Online. In November 2021, Rockstar Games will release the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of GTA V and GTA Online.
