One of the most successful rock artists in the world is coming to Kiel next year: Sting will perform at the Nordmarksportfeld Open Air as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (SHMF) on June 14, 2025. The SHMF announced this on Monday. He will perform many of his biggest hits there together with guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas.

The Briton Gordon Sumner, better known by his stage name Sting, can look back on a concert career spanning 40 years. Songs such as “Every Breath You Take”, “Message in a bottle” and “Roxanne” by his band The Police, founded in 1977, became milestones in music history. His subsequent solo career was just as successful – hits such as “Englishman in New York”, “Fields of Gold” and “Love Is The Seventh Wave” followed.
Sting has won 17 Grammys, 2 Brit Awards, a Golden Globe and has been nominated for four Oscars. In addition to music, he is an actor and is heavily involved in humanitarian projects and environmental protection.
