Rockstar Games’ ‘Red Dead Redemption’ to be Officially Released in Korea with Korean Language Support for PS4 and Nintendo Switch

The Korean version of Rockstar Games’ ‘Red Dead Redemption’ will be officially released on August 17th for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. This is the first Korean language support in 13 years since it was released on the PS3 and Xbox360.

It is Rockstar Games’ ‘Red Dead Redemption’, which raised expectations for the remastered Korean version by receiving a rating from the Game Rating Board in June, but it was officially revealed that it was not a ‘remaster’. As it is released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, it supports high resolution and looks cleaner compared to the PS3 or Xbox360 version, but strictly speaking, it is more of a simple porting than a remaster.

The port was done by Double Eleven Studios, not Rockstar Games. The studio also participated in the development of Rust Console Edition, Fallout 76, and Minecraft Dungeons.

This transplant is the GOTY edition, and includes all bonus content from the original, including Undead Nightmare. However, it is not 100% perfectly transplanted. Because multiplayer is missing. Since it only supports single play, gamers who expected a 100% perfect transplant including multiplayer will be disappointed.

Meanwhile, information on resolution, frames, and PS5 support was not disclosed on this day, and related information is expected to be released later.

The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of ‘Red Dead Redemption’, which officially support Korean, will be released on August 17th. The DL version is priced at $49.99 (approximately 65,000 won), and the package version will be released on October 13th.
