Rockstar Games Expands Modding Policy to Include Roleplay Communities and Acquires Cfx.re Team

Rockstar Games published a fresh note on your site. The company announced that it had bought the team Cfx.re – client developers FiveM and RedMrequired to create roleplay servers in Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar says they’ve been thrilled to see how the creative community has found a new way to push the boundaries of their games through dedicated role-playing servers. To support these efforts, the company has decided to expand its modding policy to include projects from role-playing communities.

It is promised that the Cfx.re team will be helped to find new ways to keep players interested and improve their services. More details should be shared in the coming weeks and months.

Authors FiveM and RedM declaredthat cooperation with Rockstar will not have a noticeable impact on their activities. In addition, the work will only concern projects that have already been released, so asking the team “about the next GTA” does not make sense.

Clearly, Rockstar Games saw the future in the direction of role-playing servers. It is possible that similar mechanics may appear in GTA 6 Online.
