Rockstar admits that GTA Trilogy was not as intended • Eurogamer.pt

Rockstar went public to admit that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition did not meet the quality parameters they are used to.

The release was last week, and the technical issues are immense, not to mention the withdrawn content that was present in the original versions, songs.

It was yesterday that through a release that Rockstar apologized for what happened and that it will work towards compensating and correcting the Trilogy’s technical problems.

“First of all, we sincerely want to apologize to everyone who has encountered problems playing these games.”

“The Grand Theft Auto series – and the games that make up this iconic trilogy – are as special to us as we know they are to fans around the world. The updated versions of these classic games have not been released in a state that meets our own standards quality, or the standards our fans have come to expect.”

They also say that they are working to fix the problems reported by players.

“We have plans in place to address the technical issues and to improve each game going forward. With each update planned, the games will reach the level of quality they deserve to have.”

In the same statement they raise another issue, related to members of the development team who are being mistreated on social media, asking the publisher for fans to maintain a respectful and civilized behavior.

“However, it is hard to mention that we are hearing reports of development team members being mistreated on social media. We would like to ask our community to please maintain a respectful and civilized speech around this release as we work through of these issues.”

We also have the important information, that the original PC versions of the three games, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are once again available in the store, and who bought Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition at the Rockstar Store until June 30, 2022 will be entitled to receive all three classics for free.

“We will be adding the classic PC versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back to the Rockstar Store soon as a bundle. Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PC at the Rockstar Store until June 30, 2022, will receive these classic versions in their Rockstar Games Launcher library at no additional cost.
