Rocksmith Edition 2014: End of DLC and new project for Ubisoft San Francisco – News

Allowing the use of a real electric guitar, Rosksmith began its adventure in 2011, before returning in the form of a 2014 Edition, published in October 2013.

Almost nine years after its initial release, Rocksmith is preparing to retire in terms of new content. In one blog post, Ubisoft San Francisco announces be at work on a new project, and end the release of DLC for the title. Thus, the Rocksmith music library will close with more than 1,570 titles, covering approximately 70 years of history, if we exclude the DLC Bachsmith.

For more than a decade, we have seen players learn, grow and surprise us with their talent, creativity and eagerness to help each other achieve their goals. We really can’t be more proud to have played a part in this trip (…) with you. (…) From everyone at Rocksmith and Ubisoft, thank you.

Let these same players reassure themselves, Rocksmith will continue to offer weekly content, while Rocksmith Dev Stream will continue its journey in a new format. In regards to the next project, the studio remains very mysterious, but claims to have can’t wait to start (…) the next stage of (his) music learning journey.
