“The events and gatherings in the Alpes-Maritimes department during the end-of-year celebrations risk causing overflows”justifies the prefect in the introduction, citing the art “noise” but also the “dangers” fireworks on the public street or even “the risk of panic which could be caused by the use of pyrotechnic articles in places of large gatherings, particularly in a context of a terrorist threat”.
Consequentially, “Any transfer or sale of category F3 and F4 fireworks, category P2 pyrotechnic articles intended for the theater and other category T2 pyrotechnic articles is prohibited in all municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes department from 1 December 2022 to 1 January 2023 inclusive.”
