Psyonix had promised us great initiatives for the 5 years of Rocket League, and this is already the case with a special event full of special modes this summer. But the developers have a much bigger surprise planned for the coming weeks: the multiplayer game will become free-to-play !
By the end of the summer, it will therefore be possible to play Rocket League for free. sur PS4, Xbox One, Switch et PC via l’Epic Games Store, the version Steam on this occasion to disappear so that the game becomes only downloadable via the publisher’s platform Epic Games. Holders of a version Steam will still be able to continue playing from the Valve. More of cross-play already available, Rocket League will be with progression cross-platform to live the same experience from any console. The game will otherwise remain the same, except that the Tournaments and the Challenges will be improved, weekly and seasonal challenges with key rewards to appear.
What will happen to players who have paid their game to the full pot before that? Under penalty of having logged in at least once online with their account, they will receive the status Heritage giving access to all DLC released to date, the title Is. 20XX showing the year you started your career, over 200 personalization elements, boosts Faded Cosmos and Golden Cosmos, the wheels Ten-Gold and the banner Hunter.
