Flight alert activated near Tel Aviv – report of explosions
Sirens warning of rocket attacks were sounded in Tel Aviv on Saturday morning, according to the Israeli military. Residents have heard explosions, according to Reuters.
The air raid warning could be heard for several minutes in the south of the country, near Gaza and the outskirts of Tel Aviv early Saturday. Residents of cities near Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have reported hearing explosions.
The news agencies AFP and AP report that dozens of rockets have been launched from Gaza.
In the city of Ashkelon, a building is said to have been hit by a rocket.
