On August 2, Russian invaders fired eight cruise missiles at Ukraine, seven of which were destroyed. The blow was delivered from the area of the Caspian Sea.

It is noted that at about 17:00, the Russians used Tu-95 (Tu-160) strategic bombers against Ukraine.
In total, eight cruise missiles of the X-101 (X-555) type were fired in the direction of the central, southern and western regions of our state. Seven missiles were shot down by the air defense forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Six missiles were eliminated by anti-aircraft missile forces and one – by an Air Force fighter aircraft.
At the same time, one hit was recorded in the Lviv region – it was hit by an air defense system. Losses and victims are specified.
