Rocket Attack in Hroza Village, Kharkiv: 48 Fatalities, including a Six-Year-Old Boy

Just after one o’clock on Thursday afternoon, the tiny village of Hroza in Kharkiv was hit by a rocket attack.

48 people are said to have lost their lives. One of the dead will be a six-year-old boy, according to the AP news agency.

It is expected that the number of dead will rise.

Governor of Kharkiv, Oleg Synyehubov, wrote on Telegram that a cafe and a shop were reportedly hit in the attack, and that many civilians were in the area.

The Ukrainian city of Kharkiv is located close to the Russian border.

Zelenskyj and Spania

– A rocket attack against a completely ordinary grocery store, writes Volodymyr Zelenskyj on Instagram, and sends his condolences to the city.

The Ukrainian president is in Granada, Spain, in a meeting with around 50 European heads of state, where security and defense are among other things on the agenda.

– Now we are talking to European leaders about strengthening our defence, especially about strengthening our soldiers, to give our country protection against terror, writes Zelenskyj.

At the informal summit, Ukraine is said to have received promises about a new air defense and anti-drone system from Spain, according to Reuters.

The Spanish army has offered to train Ukrainian soldiers in the use of the new systems.
