LONDON The rock band Rolling Stones became the first music group in history to take first place in the UK charts with six decades. The Rolling Stones topped the UK charts on Friday with a remastered version of the classic Goats Head Soup album, which was originally released in 1973 and also reached number one at the time. Reuters reported.

The Goats Head Soup record, with some unreleased recordings, was released last week and surpassed British singer Declan McKenny’s album Zeros in just 800 copies sold, Sky News reported.
The Rolling Stones already have 13 albums that have dominated the UK charts over the years, as have Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams. Better are only the Beatles, whose albums have come first in a total of fifteen times, writes the Sky News website.
The Rolling Stones, who began touring in 1962, are still touring, although their singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards have celebrated their 75th birthday.
