Rock for People has begun. With great weather, spectator interest and Biffy Clyro

In the area, which, according to the organizers, the event, which will last until Saturday night, should have thirty-five thousand spectators, there was literally a feeling that everyone present was relieved that Rock for People would finally take place this year.

In addition to the joy of the organizers, with the program they have wanted for years and to which they have patiently headed.

It is not that the main star of the event is the great American pop punks Green Day. The point is that the vast majority of musical names in the schedule are from abroad.

In addition to the big stages, Rock for People is dominated by a big wheel.

“Elimination of traditional Czech names is intentional,” festival director Michal Thomes told Práva and Novinkám.cz.

“We have nothing against our bands, but there are plenty of opportunities in the audience to see them. For a long time, we have tried to profile ourselves as a festival at which music lovers will experience rather unusual experiences, whether it is world names or current foreign discoveries. “

However, in recent years, he and his team have also been diligently presenting the world’s selection festivals at which they sought musical talent, and in return sent Czech bands whose competitiveness they were convinced of. It was an ant job, but it bore fruit.

On Wednesday evening, our scene at Rock for People was represented by Skywalker.

Their set to Europe 2 stage, in fact in a large circus tent, was full and they offered a crushing concert cleared of the functional SHOP HARD CORA and melodic singing.

The biggest festival scene has not been played on Wednesday, since the next day.

In the other six, however, the formations that may have a stellar future ahead alternated with those that have already crossed the line of higher popularity and whose names they know elsewhere than in their home country.

This was especially true of the Scottish Biffy Clyro, real rock stars, whose concerts contrast sharply with their sleeker recordings and reach an urgency on stage that cannot be ignored.

The English bands Idles and Wolf Alice, Welsh Skindred, Danish Møl or other promising English Hot Milk and Nothing were also worth seeing.

The area was comfortably filled with fans during their sets, a large white sightseeing bike took many of them behind the view, the mood of the overall relaxation was felt until night, and all this was only slightly tempered by the bad weather forecast for the next day.
