It is the week of business transfer and on this occasion we are looking at a transmission of a particular kind in Rochefort: that of two competing insurance brokers.
Michel Eloy and Renaud Letêcheur are now one! Last July, they decided to merge their two insurance offices in Rochefort. It was Michel, close to retirement age, who offered Renaud the opportunity to buy his business.
I had other candidates to buy my business. But it was Renaud’s project that won me over. I find in him a little the Michel of 20 years ago. We have the same vision of our job and the way we want to work.
Today, the boss is therefore Renaud. An unlikely situation since not long ago, the two men were formidable competitors in the insurance world in Rochefort.
We hit it off one day on the sidewalk. Then I decided to call him and offer him to collaborate or even merge. If I had known it would turn out this well, I would have proposed this much sooner.
The merger was signed on July 4, just a few days before the floods in Rochefort. An event which precipitated the physical merger of the offices in order to be together reunited in a single space to manage no less than 350 files. Soon, Michel will retire and entrust his clients to Renaud with nostalgia and the feeling that once again in Rochefort there is strength in unity.
