Problems with sensors
The robot would have been intended to transfer boxes full of peppers from the conveyor belt onto pellets. The victim had first tested the robot’s sensors. Something went wrong when testing the robot itself. The Gyeongsang Province police reported that the test was supposed to take place the day before yesterday, but it was postponed due to problems with the sensors.
Things also went wrong with a South Korean robot in March. A man was seriously injured after being trapped by a robot at an auto parts factory.
