Robo-revolution in the delivery industry – DER AKTIONÄR

Does it make sense to deliver a 500 gram package in a two-ton van? An American start-up is asking itself this question and is using a lot of inventiveness to pave the way for greater sustainability while simultaneously reducing costs. Delivery figures are rising rapidly – just like the share price?

Vision and technology

The focus of the up-and-coming company’s considerations was the automation of deliveries through the use of state-of-the-art technology and robotics. The result of this vision is a 100-kilogram vehicle with a charging box that is very reminiscent of Wall-E from the Pixar film of the same name. But the cute design is deceptive: the ultra-modern robot is equipped with the latest chip and laser technology to navigate the streets perfectly.

Strong partners

A large American service provider has a strong interest in the robotics company’s technology and has already secured a 14 percent stake in the up-and-coming start-up. This strategic investment puts the company’s foot in the door to play a role in the delivery robot market in the future. For the young robotics company, the group offers the opportunity to further develop its technology under everyday conditions. Another strategic partner is the supplier of the computer chips built into the robot, which has increased its stake to 10 percent of the company.

High chance, high risk

The robots used have so far generated little revenue, even though the number of deliveries is steadily increasing. In order to operate profitably, however, the enormous costs of $60,000 per robot will have to be scaled. In order to achieve this, the company plans to have production carried out by one of the largest automotive suppliers, which is known for its innovative strength and operates globally.

The share is a real hot stock with an exciting story, strong partners and a lot of imagination for the future. Brave investors will find out in the new issue of THE SHAREHOLDER (from page 12) why this perfectly imperfect stock is worth a look.
