Robin van Persie will coach top talents Feyenoord | Football

sport">The former top striker and captain of the Rotterdam club, who ended his career two years ago, will coach under 16 together with Pinas Feyenoord. Pinas was briefly part of the first selection of Feyenoord in the late nineties and, like Van Persie, played in England. Where Van Persie was successful at Arsenal and Manchester United, Pinas (now 42) was under contract with Newcastle United.

sport">Van Persie is already active this current season as an assistant coach of Feyenoord under 15, for which he is responsible together with former international Gaston Taument. He also trained in the first selection of Dick Advocaat with the attackers of the Rotterdam main force.

sport">Shaqueel van Persie, the 14-year-old son of the all-time top scorer of the Dutch national team, plays in Feyenoord under 15. After the summer, that team will transfer almost entirely to Feyenoord under 16. Within the Feyenoord Academy, the team is considered to be an extremely talented class. The young players consider themselves lucky to receive training from someone like Van Persie.
