Osnabrück superstar Robin Schulz has reached a new high point in his career this summer. His three most famous songs now have more than a billion views on Spotify. This means that the electronic musician can count himself among an extraordinary league of international musicians: the “Spotify Billions Club”
The Spotify Billions Club
An increasing number of artists are reaching the one billion mark on the music streaming platform Spotify. This means that one of their songs has been streamed more than a billion times on the platform. Anyone who reaches this milestone can count themselves as part of the “Spotify Billions Club”. Membership in the “Billions Club” does not depend on the artist’s account balance, but on the number of views. Currently, almost 700 songs are above this billion mark.
Robin Schulz: Triple stream billionaire
Three of them are the result of the creativity of the Osnabrück DJ. With “Sugar”, Robin Schulz moved into the “Billions Club” in August 2022. “Prayer in C” and “Waves” followed this summer.

These are not only the most listened to songs by the Osnabrück artist, but also the songs with which he made it into the charts ten years ago: “Waves” and “Prayer in C” appeared on his debut album “Prayer” in 2014. His biggest hit to date, “Sugar,” followed a year later.
Top 100 in electronic music
The three billion-dollar songs are among the most successful worldwide. In the “electronic music” genre, Sugar is ranked 40th, Prayer in C 58th and Waves 72nd among the most streamed songs. This puts Robin Schulz in the same league as global stars such as Martin Garrix and David Guetta – also members of the “Spotify Billions Club”.
The international artist is celebrating the ten-year anniversary of his successful album “Prayer” with the two billion-dollar songs “Waves” and “Prayer in C” on August 9th in his hometown of Osnabrück. It’s not just the 12,000 spectators who are looking forward to this year’s Schlossgarten Open-Air. Robin Schulz also revealed in an interview with DJ Magazin: “The show in Osnabrück is my absolute highlight of the summer.”
