Robin Alvarez returns home – the veteran back in the Malmö Redhawks

Robin Alvarez is back in Malmö Redhawks, the club announces via its website. The 36-year-old attacker has signed a contract that runs until the end of the season.

Robin Alvarez has during the current season played 22 games for the Tampere club Ilves in the Finnish league.
– We are happy to bring Robin home to Malmö again, to bring in a Malmö boy with a Malmö heart this season means a lot. Robin is a useful player who can play in many different forms of play and who will contribute with his experience both on and off the ice, says sporting director Björn Liljander.
The last time Robin Alvarez played in the MIF was the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Since then he has played in the SHL with Skellefteå, Frölunda and Timrå.
The parent club is IK Pantern and Alvarez also spent seven seasons in the Redhawks A team in the Hockeyallsvenskan 2007-14.
– It will be crazy fun to come home and play for Malmö again. I’m really excited to meet the whole team and get out on the ice and start playing, says Robin Alvarez.
Alvarez has played a total of 408 SHL matches and 307 Allsvenska matches.
