Regarding Ronaldo’s starting position in the five Euro games, at 39 years of age, the coach said: “Age is not important in tournaments. I think age even helps. We monitored his performance through statistics, which show that Cristiano was well managed and well used. I have confidential information that proves this narrative. It is important to have this type of methodologies because he plays an important role during the competition. We did not have any physical problems. Pepe, contrary to what was previously said, managed to perform very well. We prepared all the players in this sense.
