MOSCOW, April 23 / PRNewswire / – Former Brazilian international, multiple Champions League winner and global ambassador for Gazprom’s Football for Friendship (F4F) international children’s social program, Roberto Carlos, spoke to young players and young reporters from the program about his life, career and his in an exclusive press conference Commitment to F4F.
Roberto Carlos was used as a player 2002 World Champion with the Brazilian national team, won with Real Madrid three times the UEFA Champions League. He is currently a youth coach at Real Madrid. He has also been the global ambassador for Football for Friendship since 2020.
When asked about his most famous goal, he scored his free-kick goal against in June 1997 France as well as his spectacular goal against CD Tenerife in February 1998. The Brazilian national team from 2002 and Real Madrid are his favorite teams.
When he was twelve, he came from a poor family and wanted to become a lawyer. But then everything quickly turned out differently: football career in Brazil, national team, invitation to Europe. His family always supported him.
Everything on his path through life went well and had helped him professionally and personally. He never felt fear. Of course he had dreams. For example, being able to build a house for your parents. Teamwork is an important prerequisite for success. What he likes about F4F is that so many young people can meet and interact with each other.
The ninth season of F4F will take place from May 14th to 29th, 2021 in digital format. Young players aged twelve from over 200 countries will take part in the 2021 Football for Friendship eWorld Championship. The competition will be held on the “F4F World” soccer simulator.
Young journalists report on the events of the ninth season of F4F in the International Children’s Press Center and share with their friends the most important values of the program: friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions and honor.
