61-year-old Roberto Brazzale has had enough of young employees. The businessman only wants to hire employees who are 60 years old or older for his dairy company “Brazzale AG” in Zanè near Vicenza, Italy.
Disappointed by young employees
The reason? “Today’s 60-year-olds are the new 40-year-olds. This means that they have experience, passion and are full of energy,” said Roberto Brazzale „Südtirol News“. The qualified lawyer started with his recruiting among his circle of friends. He asked some of his friends of the same age if they would be interested in joining the company. Quite a few people accepted the offer, the businessman says proudly.
He doesn’t want to look for young employees for the time being. “In the last three years we have created new businesses for which we have taken on a number of young people in their 20s and 30s on a trial basis. But their performances were disappointing,” he says. His employed friends would not be “people waiting to retire, but people who are in the middle of their working lives.” Brazzale says welcoming her to the company was the best decision he could have made.
In any case, his friends are a great asset to his company. He also went to school with many of them. “When we were kids, we skipped school together. Today, for example, they take care of the administration and the warehouse,” smiles the 61-year-old lawyer.
