Corinthians has everything to count on with defender Robert Renan in the 2024 season. Timão would be the “bridge” in a negotiation involving Zenit, from Russia, and West Ham, from England.
The column found that Zenit agreed to sell Robert Renan to the English club for 25 million euros (R$133 million). Corinthians and the Russians are still discussing whether the loan will be for one year or six months. The São Paulo club only accepts the deal if it can count on the defender until the end of 2024.
Russia left the Swift system because of the war against Ukraine and, as a result, money from Europe cannot enter the country, Zenit decided to loan the player until the problem is resolved. In this way, Corinthians enters the business as a kind of “bridge” for Robert Renan to leave Zenit.
