84-year-old Robert Redford is in deep grief over his son’s death. James Redford died Friday of cancer, aged 58.

– The grief is endless when you lose a child. James was a beloved son, husband and father, said Robert Redford’s spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, according to BBC , and asks that the family mourn in peace.
James Redford, one of Robert Redford’s four children, was a filmmaker and champion of nature and environmental protection. He was behind documentaries such as “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia”.
He was diagnosed with liver cancer last year while waiting for a liver transplant. It should be his third. Due to the experience of the first two in 1993, he founded The James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness to make most people aware of the need for organ donation.
James Redford also produced the film “The Kindness of Strangers” on the same theme in 1999.
James Redford was married to his wife Kyle for 32 years. Together they have two children. Kyle Redford himself shared the sad news of her husband’s passing on social media, writing:
– He lived a beautiful life that meant something and was loved by many.
