Robert F. Kennedy jr. – Vaccine opponent asked for vaccines at Christmas parties

NEW YORK (Dagbladet): In recent years, Kennedy (67), from the famous Kennedy clan, has made a name for himself in the United States for conspiracy theories and protests against corona vaccines and pandemic restrictions.

Many were therefore surprised when Kennedy and his wife Cheryl Hines, known from “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, sent out invitations to a Christmas party at their own home in California. In the invitation, the guests were asked to be vaccinated or take a coronation test before they came to the company, reports Politico.

– Not always boss

“I’m not always the boss of my own house,” Kennedy told the website.

At the same time, he emphasizes that it was not checked whether the guests had actually been vaccinated or tested.

The statement is widely criticized, writes The Guardian.

– The old “blame on your wife for wanting people to be safe when you’re an anti-vaxxer” trick. Stylish, Republican Doug Heye writes Twitter.

Hines has not yet commented on the situation.

A few days ago wrote the news agency AP a long article about Kennedy’s anti-vaccine organization, Children’s Health Defense.

Unlike many other non-profit organizations that have suffered during the pandemic, Kennedy’s organization has raised large sums. Documents show that Children’s Health Defense doubled its revenues in 2020 to 6.8 million dollars (about 61.2 million kroner).

Presidential nephew

Kennedy is the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy and the son of the president’s brother, Robert. F. Kennedy. John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in 1963. Robert F. Kennedy was also shot and killed when he was about to become the Democratic presidential candidate in 1968.

Previously, Kennedy has also been an avid environmental activist and has, among other things, attended conferences in Norway. But in recent years he has become known for conspiracy theories and vaccine resistance.

Attacker Fauci

Earlier this year, Kennedy was removed from Instagram for sharing misinformation about covid-19.

In November, he also published the book “The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health”, which has become a bestseller at Amazon. There he attacks, among other things, the well-known American infection control expert Anthony Fauci.

Several doctors and medical experts have warned against Kennedy.

“He is leading the campaign to misinform,” doctor Richard Allen Williams, founder of the Minority Health Institute, told The Guardian.

– Very dangerous

The sister of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kerry Kennedy runs the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation. She warns her brother, claiming he deliberately uses references to President John F. Kennedy to promote his own vaccine resistance.

– Anyone who believes something like that does not know the story. John F. Kennedy made a great effort to carry out vaccinations, both as a senator and later as president, Kerry Kennedy told the AP and added:

– I love Bobby, but I think he is completely wrong about this and very dangerous. Not taking vaccines endangers people’s lives. It not only affects the person who refuses to take the vaccine, but it puts the whole community at risk.
